KASABIAN'S TOM MEIGHAN ACCEPTS ACTING ROLE


Kasabian lead singer Tom Meighan has been hired as one of the starring roles in the pilot of a new comedy drama called ‘Walk Like A Panther’.

Currently Tome Meighan discussion for screening rights are still ongoing so whether the show ever sees our TV screens is uncertain.

Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire), Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers) and Ian Mercer (Coronation Street) are the actors also to appear on the show.

Kasabian fan will be happy to listen this isn’t a permanent career change however and is something he sees more as a bit of fun and a way to fulfil an ambition while taking a break from working on the bands fourth studio album, expected to be released in September 2011. ‘Kasabian and the music comes first. It’s my life, my blood’.

Kasabian are playing a series of festivals this summer including Rockness, Isle of Wight and BBK Bilbao. Details of the new album and any promotional tour will be posted on Stereoboard.com as soon as they emerge.

Kasabian's Tom Meighan Play Wrestler In New Sitcom


Wannabe seventies wrestler in a new TV sitcom is set to play by Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan.

Over the coming weeks,the Kasabian singer is due to film his cameo in Walk Like A Panther in Leeds.

In TV series TV chef Marco Pierre White has also played a part,, which will aware the stories of iconic wrestlers including Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy.

"For anyone who sat with their family on a Saturday and watched the old grannies attacking the wrestlers, this series is going to tickle you,” a source told The Sun.

“The cast has been assembled thanks to that nostalgia and the love of gritty northern humour."

In Walk Like A Panther,Stephen Graham is playing the lead role.The TV series has yet to secure a broadcaster.

Kasabian's Tom Meighan has become ambassador for soldiers' charity

Kasabian one of the man Tom Meighan has become an ambassador for a soldiers' charity.

After helping to raise money for the band at a arranger head shave night Leicester, organisation of the Support Our Forces the chart topping star are agreed to his return.

Wayne North is a charity committee member gave them three years ago to raise cash only for injured soldiers.

He said member of Kasabian was very delighted, "I've known Tom for a while and saw him at the football one day and asked him if he wanted to do the head shave. It was a fantastic night and to have Tom there was brilliant – he'bos a legend. He's agreed to be an ambassador for the charity, which is great. To have him involved is brilliant. All the Army lads love Kasabian and he said he'd do what he can to support us."

over US success, Kasabian not fussed


Kasabian's Tom Meighan has said he is not fussed about breaking America because he can't be bothered to tour there.
Tom told #5 magazine: "I'm not a**ed about it mate, the record (West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum) went to No 98 on the Billboard which is s**t, sold about 10,000.
"To break America you have to tour the motherf****r, and that takes a lot of time, it's massive..."
Tom added: "No one butthe breaking America Coldplay and U2. It might happen, but we're certainly not going to different what we do. We're so dangerous for them, and we're not going to become non confrontational."
The Shoot The Runner rocker also said Kasabian couldn't fill the void left by Oasis' split as the two bands are too change.
He said: "Well everyone keeps tipping us to fill the void, but you can't fill that void. Oasis are a big, anthemic sing along band, while we're more of a dance along band, we're completely different. If you're gonna call them The Beatles, then we're the Stones, you know what I mean?"
